Young Writers' Conference 2020

The Department of English at Fresno State presents the 2020 Young Writers’ Conference, featuring a keynote address from author and U.S. Young People's Poet Laureate Naomi Shihab Nye. Nye is the author or editor of more than 30 volumes, and has been a Lannan Fellow, a Guggenheim Fellow, and a Witter Bynner Fellow with the Library of Congress. She has won dozens of literary prizes, including international awards for service to poetry and for children’s literature. She teaches creative writing at Texas State University. Conference morning session starts at 8 a.m. and the keynote session starts at 9:45 a.m. Location: Satellite Student Union, 2485 E. San Ramon Ave. Admission to the conference is $15 for participants and the keynote address is free. Parking costs $5 in lots P5 and P6. Details: or 559.278.1569.
