Honors students will showcase their debating skills at the 15th annual Oxford Debate for Clovis Community College. This is the longest-standing yearly event at the college. This year, the honors students will argue whether or not public colleges and universities should charge tuition. As usual, each side will present their argument and then the audience can ask questions, add information or disagree. In the end, the audience votes for the winning side. This is an interactive debate first practiced at the Oxford Colleges in England in 1823. Additionally, during the break, students will perform on musical instruments, do stand-up comedy, juggle and perform magic.
