Worked as a waiter in the Transit Authority dining room on the 44th floor of the World Trade Center for three years. Starred in regional theater before breaking into movies. Gained 40 pounds to play John Gotti in Witness to the Mob (1998). Provided the voice of Sonny Forelli in the video game Grand Theft Auto .  Has freely admitted his past addiction to drugs and credits friend and Heat costar Robert De Niro with getting him into rehab. Appeared on the shows Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew… Show more and Sober House With Dr. Drew  in 2010; credits Dr. Drew Pinsky and drug counselor Bob Forrest with saving his life.
